I personally feel the rent is too high for the quality of the place, service personnel and amenities (there are none). My mistake for being in a hurry and not taking a closer look before signing, but you can almost certainly do better for your money and possibly with property owners that seem to at least pretend they care about your satisfaction. Unit: The kitchen & bathroom are lightly redone with new solid surface countertops and tile flooring. The unit has hardwood otherwise, with the exception of the bedroom which is carpet. The carpet was not particularly clean when we moved in and neither was the unit in general. There was tons of dust leftover from the renovations, including enough in the tub that it wouldn't drain when it was first used. The units themselves seem to be pretty decent overall if you can overlook the almost laughable quality of the work that's been done. It's clear they weren't trying too hard and wanted to save as much money as possible. I don't know about the other units, but the windows of my apartment leak a ton of air, which is especially noticeable in the colder months. The Building: It's a good looking old building from the outside and inside they seem to be making progress on updating the building. Unfortunately there are some issues; for example, I moved in Summer 2015 and there was a managers office on site where I was told packages would be received for residents and someone would be there to speak to. Imagine my surprise when they began renovating that space and making it an apartment. Not having a manager in the building is no big deal for me, but the ability to receive packages was lost at that point. This wouldn't have been a major issue if the callbox worked, at least then I could buzz delivery persons in so they could safely leave package for me inside the building. Unfortunately even after more than 6 months no effort has been made to fix it. This means that about 75% of the time is receive a UPS or FedEx package I have to go and pick it up because they can't get into the building. I have also been complaining about a water leak that is causing damage on the first floor, management has closed the case multiple times, but every time it rains the carpet is soaked to the point of wetting my leather shoes. The other residents seem pretty great overall. There's the occasional dog barking, and I think the people above me might have a bowling alley some nights, but overall it's pretty quiet. Location: The location in the corner of 6th and Yesler is just okay, it's convenient for freeway access and you can easily get on public transit going anywhere. It's just far enough out of Pioneer Square to avoid the unfortunate homeless population that hangs around at night. There is a decent amount of free or low cost street parking around; however, I would advise against leaving your vehicle out overnight. It's almost unbelievable how many cars I'm seeing with broken passenger side windows in the area. Parking in the nearby garage runs about $200/month as of Jan 2016. FYI, plan on hearing emergency vehicles often due to a fire station being a block away, also helicopters landing at the nearby hospital, plus screaming crowds and fireworks during sporting events. These things really didn't bother me at all, but you should be aware of them. Staff: I've had no less than 3 different contacts in just over 6 months, meaning it's not always clear who to call for an issue. They clearly have an issue with employee retention or something, that seems like too many building managers for such a short period. I've created trouble tickets through the system online for things requiring repair in the building and they seem to magically get closed out without being fixed or even having a staff member contact me.

I moved out of this place over 2 1/2 years ago..they called me a year ago claiming I owed them $1,600..they can't tell me why..now it's on my credit, preventing me from making other moves..
