I am looking for a male or female roommate to share a nice and spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in Ballston at the Birchwood. JUNE IS FREE. -$1,113 for bedroom with private bathroom - Utilities (water, sewer, electric) flat rate of $52/month, so $1165 in total. -Bedroom has individual heat/air control, access to balcony with sliding glass door. It gets great sunlight. Room faces west and has a great sunset view. -7-8 minute walk to Ballston or Virginia Square metro stations (Google maps says longer, but I guess that's for slow walkers). I'm on the platform in under 10 minutes every day. -Walking distance to many restaurants and bars, grocery stores, and much else. -Apartment features huge walk-in closets, full kitchen with dishwasher, and in-unit washer and dryer. -Building has controlled access, a gym and a game room, a backyard grill area, and a secure package delivery room. -Parking is available for $60/month. About me: 26-year-old male who has lived in the area for two years. I work 8:30-5, so I'm gone from roughly 7:30-6 every day. I'm pretty easy-going and open-minded. -Weeknights are usually spent working out, cooking dinner, spending time outside when it's nice, and doing the occasional trivia/happy hour/etc. -Weekends, I'm out and about the city. I like to visit the breweries, beer festivals, watch the Nats, or just find new sights around the city. -Not into the club scene or belligerent drunken nights (college is over). Dinner and a few drinks with friends is ideal for most weekends. My ideal roommate: -Someone who is more of a neat-freak than anything else. -Someone considerate of personal space and friendly. -Someone who doesn't mind hanging out, watching sports and having a drink or two. -Down to play some Mario Kart (N64, of course) or other games. -Great if we become friends, but it's not mandatory as long as we get along. The place will be partly furnished. I have a great couch, TV, and living room tables. Could use some nice bar stools for the counter and some nice patio furniture. Prefer not to have any ugly or beat up furniture. To move in, you will need the following: -$50 application fee -$75 lease addition fee (to add you to the lease - I will split this with you) -$200 move-in fee Available anytime in June. I am moving out of my apartment at the end of March and my room will become available. The room available is the slightly larger room with a balcony attached to it. It has a giant awesome closet and your own bathroom. Apartment also includes washer and dryer in apartment. Rent is $1275 and this INCLUDES utilities. No yearly lease is required, lease is month to month. The move in date is flexible as I will be able to move beginning march 20th. The apartment is about two blocks away from Va Square metro and three blocks from Ballston metro (The Birchwood Apartments). It is also walking distance and close to Gold's Gym, lots of restaurants, and Harris Teeter. The building is very nice. It has a pretty good gym, computer lab, lounge area and pool table. Parking is available (inside and outside) for $75. The other roommate is a male who works for the government. He's out going and sociable and I have really enjoyed living with him.
