My apartment has amazing natural light! I love the staff, everyone is so friendly. I’ve had nothing but a great experience since moving in. You will read reviews here that are about personal issues, don’t let that deter you. Quebec House is reasonably priced and a great place to live.

I am posting a new review since my last one was deleted. I have had a very good experience at this building. I have lived in Cleveland Park for 15 years, and this is my third apartment in the neighborhood and by far the best. I have a one bedroom unit on a high floor. The apartment is spacious and attractive. I particularly like all the closet space and windows that bring in a lot of light. I am very happy not to have carpet because the floors are easy to clean and can be decorated with rugs. I have placed several maintenance requests, which have been completed quickly. I have also met the manager, Monique, and she really seems to care about the property and the residents. The maintenance crew and front desk staff are head and shoulders above my last building (2501 Porter Street Apartment).

Have lived in the Quebec House for a little over a year and have nothing but positive things to say. Honestly, this is one of the best deals in the area, when factoring in price, location, maintenance, cleanliness and quality of units.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They resolved both maintenance requests I had in less than 24 hours. The location is awesome because it is right off of Connecticut Ave near the metro, but we have our own community next to Rock Creek Park.
Would definitely recommend living here to anyone.

From working with the leasing office to select a unit that works for my needs to the caring concierge and engineering team, I find that the longer I live here, the more convinced I am that I will only lose some aspect or quality of life by moving. Like some, I looked at other places during the recent construction but no place was up to Quebec House standards. The parking garage project is complete. The new landscaping is pollinator-friendly and the honeybees have indeed found it. My unit needed some plaster repair. The craftsmanship of the work is amazing! They did not just patch. They made the surfaces look like newly built ones. I needed some unrelated plumbing work. Again, the pride of work shows, going beyond the quality of work I experienced in other complexes. Units are being updated between tenants it seems but I can't say that is policy. There are some floorplans with open kitchens. I love that my unit has a kitchen door and does not feel like a dorm room/kitchenette. I understand why some residents have been here more than ten years.

Monique, is the new Property Manager here. I had previously rented at her prior property and she was the ONLY reason I stayed there. She spoke from a place of kindness, empathy, and respect. If I worked in DC more often I would not even need a tour. As long as Monique is there, sign me up! I encourage everyone to stop in, say hi, and get to know her and you’ll feel right at home! If you have a concern, I promise you that you will find a sympathetic and caring ear and will move heaven and earth for you. Quebec House made the best decision in bringing her on, without a doubt.

I've lived here 14 months and have nothing but positive things to say about Quebec House. I'm moving for COVID reasons but hope to return to the building. The building is kept spotless by a wonderful staff, the amenities are nice, the apartment itself quiet and pleasant. The maintenance staff response is near instantaneous, I've never had to wait more than a day for a complete resolution, even when our entire oven/range stopped working, a new one was installed within hours.
I'm taking the time to write however to give the management their due. It's evident from most of the other reviews, but management here operates in good faith in a way I just haven't seen elsewhere. If you're apartment searching in the DC area, it's common to find buildings with 2, maybe 3 stars collectively due to bad management, but this building is above 4, deservedly so.
A few weeks ago, an event caused significant damage to our kitchen. Maintenance had it looking brand new within the hour, and dealing with management in the aftermath has been refreshingly straightforward and reassuring. We are very pleased with the outcome, and I cannot recommend this building enough. The fact that so many residents have been here 5, 10 years or longer says as much.

Great place to live if you have a dog. Its easy to walk in to Rock Creek Park, and its a relatively quiet residential street, so you and your pooch are less likely to get killed by some speeding jerk. Its a short (5 min) walk to Cleveland Park metro, and a bus that runs to Columbia Heights stops right outside of the Porter St. entrance. The laundry room is huge and I've never had to wait for a machine.
I have been a resident at the Quebec House for over 1 year and would recommend it to anyone. The apartments are quiet and well-maintained, the building and amenities are nice, and the location close the metro and Rock Creek Park is great. Bonus points for a management and maintenance team that is incredibly kind, helpful and responsive. We've had some issues with our appliances, which is to be expected for any apartment building, and every issue was resolved in under 24 hours.
