186 sq feet bedroom available 5-1-2016 in nice, clean and spacious apartment My current roommate is moving in with his girlfriend and so I'll be looking for a new roommate for 5-1-2016. I'm a 31 year old (male) working professional and I've been working in NYC for over 8 years now. I'm pretty easy going and sarcastic and I'm really just looking for a roommate that is responsible, laid back, reliable with paying the bills and keeps the common rooms clean. I go out frequently, but I also appreciate lay low nights. The apartment is on the 1st floor of a house and so there are apartments below/above and so if I have people over I'm respectful of that. I certainly don't mind if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend, I would just prefer to not have that person over all the time to where it seems like they're living at the apartment. I have my car parked on the street (extremely easy to find parking) and I've had no issues. My commute to the office (by Bryant Park) takes literally 35 minutes door to door. The apartment is really close to the 49th Street and Boulevard East bus stop (NJ Transit and minibuses) as well as the Port Imperial Ferry and Light Rail stop. In addition, the minibuses run pretty much 24/7 for $3.00 and so if you stay out late in the city it is still easy and quick to get home. It's also really easy to get to/from Hoboken with the Lightrail, an Uber cab or the taxi service right across the street. You would be responsible for monthly rent ($800), 1/2 of utilities (usually $40-$50 each per month and a little more during the summer with A/C) and 1/2 of Cable/Internet (approximately $90-$100 each per month with premium channels - HBO, Showtime, On-Demand, etc). I would also be requesting a 1 month security deposit (so essentially first and last month rent) and if you were to move out at least 2 months prior notice. The available room is approximately 15.5' x 12' and the rest of the apartment is furnished. All you would need to bring would be your bedroom furniture and whatever else you think might be better than what I already have in the common area. Cable access is already set up in the available bedroom and would be ready to go if you were to bring a TV. My bedroom is at the opposite end (the front of the house) of the apartment with two rooms (computer room and living room) in between the bedrooms. There is no washer and dryer in the building, but there are laundromats/wash and fold within walking distance. Pointing me in the right direction for social media profiles would also be helpful so that I can make sure you are a normal member of society. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about myself or the apartment.
