Both bedrooms are very large, have en-suite baths, are suitable for home office setup or separate living area, and have walk-in closets. In-unit washer/dryer. Eat-in kitchen with vaulted windows. Living room has skylights and access to the deck. Also shared access to a large common living room perfect for events or entertaining. Set in a tree-filled double lot of 1/3 acre with spacious deck, hot tub, and large back yard. One bedroom and bath were renovated within the year. There are skylights or large windows in many of the rooms. 10-minute walk to Tenleytown and Van Ness metro stations, close to Bread Furst, Whole Foods, Giant, CVS, Target, and of course restaurants. Fort Reno Park is a few minutes walk in one direction, and streamside Soapstone Trial into Rock Creek Park is a year-round treat a few minutes walk in the other direction. No pets (unless they can get along with the 2 cats living in the main house). The main house is occupied by the owners – a professional couple 50/60’s and a millennial housemate. Nonsmokers please. In light of COVID-19, we are screening applicants first before showing the apartment. Apartment -2 bedrooms each with an attached bathroom and walk-in closet -A kitchen with dining nook for 4-6 people -Living room -Washing machine and dryer -Separate entrance (at ground level, no steps) -1 parking space in the garage with a door going straight into the apartment -Pet friendly if the pets can get along with the 2 cats that live in the main house -Alarm system Common space -Use of an additional large living room used by the entire house (23 x 17 feet) -A huge deck with a hot tub -Set on a hill amongst trees on a 1/3-acre lot — a rarity in DC Neighborhood - Easy street parking -10 minute walk to Metro (Red line): Tenleytown and VanNess stations -- you can always walk downhill to/from one of them -Grocery store at each metro station: Whole Foods at Tenley; and Giant at Van Ness -Other stores: Container Store, CVS, Ace Hardware, Calvert Woodley Liquor, UPS, Bread Furst -Short walk to the Wilson Pool (best aquatic center in DC) and Fort Reno Park
