One of our housemates is moving out at the end of September and we'll need someone to fill his place for at least 6 months. This is a big house and is located close enough to busy areas for food, bars, and easy transportation, but far enough that we rarely hear sound at night. It's a 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom house (plus living room with a home theater, very nice kitchen, and a great deck to catch some sun on a nice day or play drinking games) with "a whole lot of brotherhood"*. Sunday September 23rd is the day to come by, but we'll be able to do weeknights if needed. The room is very big and there is an attic for some storage if you need it. Actually, the only sounds we here are those coming from within our house because we're, for the most part and mostly only on the weekends, a pretty rambunctious crew. Actually, I'd say L and D are the worst offenders to the "stay quiet during the weeknights" rule. Here's a short bio on each of us: E - F 25, I'm originally from the bay area, and I moved into this house about 2 years ago. I just started a new job in SOMA as an office manager/accountant for a nonprofit. It is the best neighborhood to work in because I am right by AT&T park, and I am a huge Giants fan. I have an adorable 16 lb chihuahua terrier- she's shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she's super playful and cuddly. J - he is a 24 yr old culinary sous chef at a Minna-owned upscale restaurant downtown. i don't think i need to tell you all his cooking is sublime. he doesn't work the typical 9-5, so we don't see much of him, but it's always a treat when we do. he pretty much enjoys everything and he'll definitely make fun of your cooking if it doesn't meet his standards. or maybe he just makes fun of mine... (J hails from Vegas) L - real butthead. just kidding! he likes the little things in life - crabbing, hiking, running, and listening to his shower radio. he works as a real estate researcher in Oakland (switching to the SF office in October) and some say he looks like tom brady. the people that do are legally blind. (originally hails from Spokane) D - 24 yr old guy working at a mobile ad network downtown. he likes to do everything and is a huge nerd for electronics. (from Boston) M - 23 yr old gurll. Newest addition to our little community, and now she'll never leave. M works at a tech company in the South Bay doing talent & development in HR. She's always cooking vegetables or eggs for herself, but can sometimes be convinced to share. When no one is looking, she is dancing by herself to music in the kitchen. Basically, everybody is great and loves meeting people. We are all very active and are similarly aged, so our commonalities are extensive. We're ideally looking for another equally minded individual who will clean up after themselves in the kitchen and living room, is respective of the 5 other members of the house, and will want to assimilate to our micro-community as a friend of ours. Guy preferred to maintain the current house balance, but change is good, right? Other things to expect: approximately $100/month for utilities/internet/cable (all premium channels included) and taking the trash/recycling out once every 6 weeks.
