Hey Everyone! I'm being relocated for work so I am looking for someone to take over my portion of the lease in a 2 bedroom/1.5 bath condo in Pentagon City sometime in October (flexible move in) through May 31,2013. The sooner I move out the better though. It's located in the Southampton Condominiums roughly at the corner of 15th St and South Hayes in Arlington. It's really a great and convenient place, and we work directly with the landlord which has been awesome, no obnoxious management company to live with. And you get to live with an awesome roommate. About the Area •~1/5 of a mile (literally a 5 minute walk) from the Pentagon City Metro (yellow/blue lines) which is only two stops to DC. •Directly across the street from CostCo, Chevy's Mexican, Starbucks, California Pizza Kitchen, CVS, Marshall's, Nordstrom Rack, and Best Buy. •Catty-cornered to Pentagon City Mall with Macy's, Nordstrom, and a bunch of other stores. •10 minute walk from Pentagon Row with Harris Teeter, Lebanese Taverna, Subway, Rite Aid, Cleaners, a gym and a bunch of other bars and sit-down restaurants. •5 minute walk to 7-11 for quick beer runs •5 minute drive to I-395 and 15 minute drive to DC, even in rush hour traffic. About the Community •Southampton Condominiums located at 15th and South Hayes •One guaranteed parking spot per unit, plus community parking sticker to park in reserved spot. Ample street parking. •Swimming pool •Trash, condo fees, sewage, water and other county billings handled by the association. About the Unit •2 bedroom/1.5 bath with two floors •My room measures roughly 13x11 or so and has two closets. Shared full bath with double sinks with separate toilet/shower area. •Remodeled kitchen with granite countertops, new stainless steel fridge, sink, dishwasher, range, the whole nine yards. In unit washer and dryer. •Remodeled half bath and large storage closet under the stairs. •Large family room/hangout area/etc with wood fireplace. You would be sharing this place with my roommate. He's a 25 year old male and works for one of the Big 4 firms and is from Maryland. He went to UNC-Wilmington. He's very social, friendly and has his shit together. We became pretty good friends and didn't know each other prior to rooming together. He was vice-president of his frat, president of his class in college, blah blah blah etc etc you get the idea. In order for any move to work, you'd need to meet him and he'd have to "approve" as well so please be 23-30 or so, good head on your shoulders, social, etc. The total rent on the unit is $2,400 per month. How you and my roommate want to split that up is your call. I need someone to sign AT LEAST until May 31st, 2013 since that is what I'm on the hook for, but my landlord said she is open to extending it. I have a flexible move out date but I'm focused on NOW through October to move out (there is some flexibility). The security deposit is $1,200 but I'm open to maybe $1,000 as my "share" for any deductions that may have occurred during my residency. You need to be able to pass background check, credit check, and employment verification with my landlord as well. If you have any questions, or want to see the place, please let me know!
