Newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. Located in Cherokee Triangle, which is one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in Louisville, KY, this property dates back to 1905. Apartment #3 is approximately 1,200 sq. ft., and apartment has been totally renovated in March, 2024. Walking distance from from Cherokee Park, which is a 400-acre park that is one of the original parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (who designed Central Park in NYC), the park provides a pastoral setting amid rolling hills, open meadows and woodlands of the Beargrass Creek valley. It has various places for walking your dog on- and off-leash, and two dog parks. Apartment #3 is one block from Bardstown Road and ten blocks from the historic Frankfort Ave., both of which contain a wide range of eclectic restaurants, stores, and entertainment venues. Public transportation is within four blocks. Downtown, in which most hospitals are located and cultural events occur, is approximately 10-15 minutes away by car. Ample parking on street in front of home. This property is my home, which is the Slaughter Mansion, built in 1905. It has been placed on the National Register of Historical Places by the Department of the Interior. Apt #3 is on the 2nd floor in the main house. The free, stacked, front-loading washer and dryer is located on the 1st floor and is shared by only four other tenants. Though in an historic building, the kitchen and bathroom have been completely renovated with all new cabinets and appliances. The apartment, however has lost none of its historical charm with its tall ceilings, elaborate baseboards, chandeliers, and hardwood floors that are original. The residence is pet friendly with a completely enclosed backyard. The minimum duration of lease is one year for apartment #3. Owner pays for everything but Gas and Electric and cable box (if needed). This includes Internet, water, trash, and common areas maintenance. Tenant will pay for Gas/Electric as well as television cable box. This is a non-smoking building. There is ample street parking in front of the house, which is a problem only four days/year, when there is the Cherokee Art Fair and parades and Bardstown Road. The side entrance to the apartment has a motion detector that lights up the area before sunset. All three apartments in the main house share a stairway, but each unit has an additional exit for your safety in case of fire.
