Gorgeous apartments in two Civil War-era buildings offer unique living spaces in the midst of downtown’s newest entertainment district, next door to the KFC Yum! Center and surrounded by all of downtown. Two styles of apartments offer high ceilings, lots of natural light, large windows, some in 2-story loft spaces. Original materials like wood flooring, plaster, and windows remain where possible, and reclaimed wood from throughout the building has found new uses. The 36 apartments complement very unique special event spaces, commercial space, and restaurants. Unique apartment layouts, sizes, and styles offer a wide variety of choices and monthly rents. Some units have original restored hardwood flooring, elaborate molding, and historic doors. Other units feature polished concrete floors, exposed ceiling joists, open floor plans and small balconies or semi-private decks. The spacious apartments are in the center of all downtown has to offer. No other project in the area offers vintage

In my experience management has been extremely easy to work with and communicative. Maintenance is friendly and responsive. I live on the 4th floor. There have been a few issues with the unit that I wish had been dealt with in a more timely fashion but nothing outrageous, mistakes happen and everyone was apologetic. The unit itself is beautiful and faces the 4th street bridge with tall windows. You can get a lot of noise from traffic and the occasional crazy person shouting at night but your choosing to live downtown, so I don’t know what you would be expecting. You can also get peaceful silence or the low hum of traffic on a Sunday morning, after an event at Yum let’s out the ambient chatter of the crowd can be a zen moment. I’m really enjoying my time here. Internet and cable are free. My only real gripe is the lack of entry from the Main Street entrance - I believe they’re working on that - and the elevators can be a bit dodgy.

Lived on the north side of the 4th floor for a year and half. Experienced an intolerable amount of noise from the 2nd street bridge. The old single-pane windows are lousy and make controlling the climate very difficult. Cold and drafty in the winter and the A/C unit was unable to dry the air in the summer (80F/80%RH). Living by the Yum Center and near work was convenient, but other than that, living downtown sucks. No grocery store (Omni doesn't count), parking is a pain, and you'll have to plan your life around the Yum Center Schedule. This place has a premium price for Louisville, but your money is better spent in other neighborhoods in my opinion. If you must live downtown, I'd recommend looking at the Henry Clay, Glassworks, or Crescent Center. Also worth noting that the first review, "Reynold" is an employee of property owner.
