Kips Bay is bordered by the East River to the east, the Flatiron District to the south, and Gramercy to the west, with 34th Street to the north. The area has traditionally been residential, but over the years, it has evolved into a mix of residential, commercial, and cultural spaces. There are a number of trendy restaurants, bars, and cafes in the area, especially along 2nd and 3rd avenues. It's less crowded than places like the East Village but still offers a variety of dining experiences.
