Seattle Metro Report: May 2019

The Zumper Seattle Metro Report analyzed active listings in April 2019 across 20 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Washington state one bedroom median was $1,286 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

Le plus cher

Bellevue remained the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced just shy of the $2,000 threshold, at $1,990.

Seattle, WA saw rent drop $100, settling at $1,890, and one position to rank as the second priciest city.

Redmond, WA was third with rent at $1,860.

-Marysville, WA continued to rank as the most affordable city with rent at $910.

Lakewood, WA stayed as the second least expensive with rent remaining flat last month at $1,000.

University Place, WA ranked as third with rent at $1,030.

Growth Rate

University Place, WA had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 13.2%.

Tacoma, WA rent jumped 9.6%, making it the second fastest growing.

Edmonds, WA was third with rent growing 9.5%.

Renton, WA had the largest monthly rental growth rate, climbing 4.9%.
