Seattle Metro Report: January 2018

The Zumper Seattle Metro Report analyzed active listings in December across 18 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Washington state one bedroom median was $1,232 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

Bellevue, WA rent dropped $100 to $1,870 but remained the most expensive in the metro.

Seattle, WA was only $60 behind at $1,810 and ranked as the second priciest city.

Kirkland, WA rent dropped $90 to $1,710 but continued to be third most expensive.

University Place, WA fell behind Marysville to rank as the most affordable city in the metro with rent at $890.

Marysville, WA rent moved up one spot to become the second least expensive at $910.

Auburn, WA ranked as third with one bedrooms priced at $930.

Growth Rate

Lynwood, WA was second with rent climbing 14.1%.

Federal Way, WA rent had the third largest year over year growth rate at 12.1%.

Burien, WA followed closely behind as second with rent up 5.4%.
