The Zumper Phoenix Metro Report analyzed active listings last month across metro cities to reveal the most and least expensive cities, as well as those with the fastest growing rents. The Arizona one bedroom median rent was $1,298 last month.

The Most Expensive

  • Flagstaff & Scottsdale were tied for the most expensive city with one-bedrooms both priced at $1,700.
  • Gilbert was the second priciest with rent at $1,590.
  • Chandler placed third with rent at $1,530.

The Least Expensive

  • Kingman was the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $840.
  • Bullhead City ranked as the second least expensive with rent at $1,000.
  • Casa Grande was third with rent at $1,040.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

  • Peoria had the fastest growing rent, up 7% since this time last year.
  • Goodyear saw rent climb 3.4%, making it the second fastest growing.
  • Gilbert was third with rent increasing 2.6%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

  • Glendale had the largest monthly growth rate, up 5.3%.
