Great area but the buildings are old and not well taken care of. No on site management and they do not answer phones. My husband, 4 year and 6 month old had to move because the managers would not respond to important maintenance requests. We spent christmas without an oven or heat. We finally got the city to get electricians out to look at the power surges after a whole year of being ignored by managment and the breaker exploded because it had been patched and ignored for at least the last 10 years said the electrician. We had to stay with family the last 3 days of moving out. They refused to return our full deposit even though it was impossible to do any cleaning due to their neglegence. They also evicted an old man who was dying of cancer for absolutely no reason. Then they completely renovated his unit and turned it into an Air Bnb. The unit was right across from ours so we got to see strangers staring in our windows and smoking on the porch. Our entire 4 years there we lived with a giant hole in the bathroom ceiling because they tried to install a new fan and decided it was too much of a job. My kid also wasn't allowed to play with CHALK. The carpets were horrendously stained and stinky when we moved in and when I suggested the smell in the unit may be due to the carpets i was told they were brand new. There was a bunch of old water damage under the kitchen sink that had been covered by cheap shelves. Oh and I got harrassed because my brother would come over to help with my kids a lot and he smokes and smells like cannabis. They told me they KNEW he was living with me and smoking in the unit just because the maintenance guy would smell it on him when he was coming back from the designated smoking spot. Simply a nightmare. Please don't rent from these people.
