I lived at the Stanton for 3 years when I first moved to Indianapolis. I enjoyed the friends I made in the building, how accommodating the Property Manager was, and I really my time there.

Crooks. Point blank. - Stanton. "Positives" : Spacious one bedrooms. Historic/vintage motif. Well-kept hardwood floors (though annoyingly squeaky). Beautiful bay windows. Sewage and gas included with rent. Surprisingly inexpensive for a location equidistant of downtown to broad ripple. Approximately 10 min from the IMA. 5 minutes from Indiana State Fairgrounds. "Negatives" : About 8 months into my stay my apartment begin to have an odor. It smelled as if it were coming from the walls or a sewage issue. I'd never smelled anything like that before. I submitted a maintenance request and called my property manager. I'm not sure if they came, but the odor never left. Neighbors were smoking weed. The complex is on busy Meridian a block from 38th. It's a safety hazard coming in and out of the complex's "gated" lot due to oncoming traffic (parking in the lot has monthly costs, no carport covering). So alternative options are to park in an alley behind the complex or on Meridian and impair the vision of oncoming traffic to your fellow residents coming out of the lot. There were no community events, ever. Wouldn't recommend this place. Icing on the cake: they tried to screw me out of my $200 deposit when I vacated a clean apartment. DONT DO IT!!
