Damen is steps from all the action, close to the Blue Line, I-90 and the 606, and a short drive to Target, Costco and Mariano's.

Pros: - Big units - Garage attached - View of city Cons: - Unsafe: many cars' windows were smashed and broken into in the garage over 9 months ago, and nothing was done. There weren't (and still aren't) cameras in garage and nobody feels safe going down there. Management did not even alert residents about the break ins, and apartments were broken into several weeks later due to the lack of response from management. There were cameras in the main floor of the building, but the leasing company didn't have the login info to access the footage, so it was useless, providing a false sense of security. Pretty much everyone broke their lease after this. - Had gas leaking from our furnace and was told it's probably just marijuana from the unit below us. Had People's Gas come out and confirm, which finally forced property mgmt to come out and fix it. - Slowest elevator (takes 10 seconds/floor) - quicker to take the stairs. - Leasing company response is poor - Laramar turns over employees quickly, they are not responsive or helpful via email or phone, and we get different answers based on which employee we talk to. - Impaired sprinkler system for over a month has been causing bldg fire alarms to go off, forcing tenants to evacuate in the middle of the night. We cannot get ahold of emergency maintenance to even talk to the fire department when they arrive. We were told they "ordered a part" and are waiting for it to arrive. - Slow to plow ramp in winter and don't always salt prior to storms, causing cars to slide backwards down the ramp. We lived here for over two years but will not be re-signing after continued safety issues.
