It has been great living here! Amenities are always kept clean and up to date. Residents here are happy and the front staff are the best. Loren helped me move in and made it a great and easy experience. Loren has always been helpful when needed and goes above and beyond.
Just moved my daughter into Modera. Such a gorgeous place, tremendous amenities and beautiful apartments. Lauryn has been amazing! She is incredibly helpful and kind --always-- literally every time I ask her anything, she bends over backwards to be helpful, always with a huge smile on her face. She has a can-do attitude and never seems to get frazzled even when pulled in multiple directions at the same time. She has really made the apartment selection and move-in process one of the best experiences I've ever had. The community is super friendly and inviting, residents say hello, offer to help and you can feel a true sense of belonging here. Lauryn and Tifinni have been fantastic! I love living at Modera! From the very beginning, Lauryn really helped to make sure I found the best unit for my needs and was really responsive throughout the entire move in process. And since being a resident she has really gone out her way to be helpful. The community as a whole is a really cool spot. The amenities are amazing, clean and they work! I have lived some places where things are constantly out of order. The maintenance and housekeeping staff do a really great job of keep the property clean and functioning. And the security team does an amazing job of keeping away any unwanted visitors or foot traffic surrounding the building. I highly recommend Modera!

I’ve lived at Modera for 1.5 years and had a very positive experience overall. The apartment is modern with great amenities. While relatively quiet inside, some street noise from East Village/Downtown is at times noticeable, which is expected for the area. The only downside is the homelessness issue, but that’s more a neighborhood challenge than a reflection on the building.
The leasing staff — Katie, Tifinni, Lauryn, and Jessica — are always helpful and responsive. Lauryn went above and beyond to help me find the right apartment, even after my initial tour, and patiently answered my many questions. I also appreciated Tifinni making the lease renewal process smooth and hassle-free while I was traveling abroad.
Michael, Eric, and Miguel — are fantastic, keeping the building in great shape and staying on top of repairs. The amenities were consistently clean and well-maintained.
All in all, Modera is an excellent option if you’re looking for a modern apartment with great service and amenities. The community is decent, and the location is convenient, though it's important to be comfortable with the realities of the surrounding neighborhood. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone considering living in the East Village.
I am going on my third lease at this complex. I love everything about it. It's a great location for me with work and reasonably priced compared to other similar apartment complexes in downtown. The front office staff is friendly, courteous, and excellent to work with. The key for me is they have all been working at Modera my entire time living at the complex. I cannot even begin to explain the turnover I witnessed at other complexes I have lived prior to moving to San Diego. The maintenance and security staff is great too. Michael and his crew are friendly and quick to fix any work orders you may have. The last point I want to make is the reasonable prices. Again, I am on my third lease and not once has my rent increased. I am sure the same cannot be said for similar complexes in downtown. I would highly recommend you consider Modera San Diego if you are looking for a new apartment in downtown.

My brother and I moved in and from the beginning it was nothing but easy going, nice people. All the staff were so helpful, whenever we had issues (which were very few) they were resolved immediately. All the amenities were so nice to have, never too busy, packages, mail everything was delivered smoothly. We were living there during the major flooding and the first floor of our building was ruined, they did such a good job informing people what was happening, being timely and transparent, accommodating people who needed it. Even went as far as ordering pizza for everyone in the apartment complex because our gas got shut off on Super Bowl Sunday, overall fantastic experience.
I’ve been living at Modern San Diego for over a year, and I can’t say enough about the positive experience I’ve had here. Lauryn and the entire management team have been incredibly helpful and responsive whenever I’ve needed anything. Whether it was handling maintenance requests promptly or accommodating special requests, they’ve always gone above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of.
The community is well-maintained, and the amenities are top-notch, but it’s the attentive and friendly management that truly sets this place apart. It’s rare to find a team that genuinely cares about their residents, and Lauryn exemplifies this in every interaction.
