Living at here has been a truly enjoyable experience for me. Riva Terra being both smoke-free & pet-friendly is huge. While the dishwasher and dryer in my unit aren't the most luxurious, they work reliably, and on the rare occasions I’ve needed maintenance, my requests were resolved often by the next morning. The community is welcoming, with friendly and respectful neighbors, and the staff is always helpful.
The most remarkable aspect of living here is safety. Despite being just a bridge away from Oakland and miles from SF, I’ve experienced nothing but peace of mind. Packages have been left at my doorstep for days when I’ve been out of town, and once, I even left my car window open overnight - all without any issues at all.
As someone who moved from a busy metro area, the occasional noise from airplanes flying overhead is barely noticeable. In fact, if you ever get curious, the nearby San Carlos airport even offers flight lessons! Redwood Shores itself also has an unparalleled view of the bay and wildlife, which makes every day feel special. Whenever you feel stressed, just take a walk by the shore and I promise that everything will feel good again.
Riva Terra is a place where my family and I decided to establish our residence. We originally lived here a few years ago, and then had do move elsewhere due to my job. Thankfully, less than 2 years later our situation changed, and we were presented with a choice of where to relocate to. Immediately and without hesitation, we chose going back to Riva Terra. There were two main reasons why we came back to this wonderful place, the excellent quality of life this community offers us, and the excellent service quality of Riva Terra’s Staff. Specifically, we are grateful to Angela who went above and beyond when we reached out to inquire about the possibility of returning to this great community, all the assistance she provided us through the moving prep and move-in process, as well as through all her remote assistance while we spent a few months abroad. Folks such as Angela make all the difference in the world and ensure that communities such as Riva Terra attract and retain great residents. Thanks a million, Angela, for being such wonderful person.
We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found d Riva Terra. In this outrageously expensive Bay Area with too many suboptimal apartment options and areas, this gem of a community makes us get up happy and relaxed every single day and also is the best deal you can find.
The property and the neighborhood are absolutely beautiful and make every day feel like vacation.
The staff are very very sweet and helpful, and they make living here very comfortable and made us feel at home right away. The residents are very respectful and quiet, there are a few dogs that are all well-behaved, and even though there are kids of all ages, you never hear any noise. We hope to be able to stay here for a long time and appreciate the kind management.

We've been living here for about half a year now, and we're glad we chose Rivaterra. The community is very comfortable, and Angela and the other members are very kind. The community is always cleaned, and any maintenance that is needed is done immediately. All the residents are friendly.
Friendly staff. Maintenance responds quickly and are respectful. The grounds are beautiful and so clean. It’s super safe here and the office staff feel like friends, Angela has been especially helpful. We have lived here 7 months and love it!
I have loved my time living at Riva Terra! The team is super quick to respond to service requests, the garden area is so well maintained, and the employees at the leasing office are so kind and helpful (shout out to Angela and Gurgeet!). Would definitely recommend as a great place to live in Redwood Shores.
Moved in a week ago and love the place. Loved the experience from the viewing of apartment to leasing to moving in. Special kudos to the very approachable leasing department specially Gurjeet. She was incredibly helpful guiding us through the process.
