I loved living in Soo Line and would recommend! Here are my pros and cons: Pros: - outstanding office staff and building management! super friendly and helpful, they get to know everyone well and make you feel at home - a ton of natural light if you’re facing 2nd Ave (I can’t speak for other units but mine had an amazing amount of sunlight as it bounces off various buildings throughout the day and shines in the windows) - friendly neighbors, especially in the dog owning community within the building - cute community events hosted for residents - updated appliances: the rainfall shower head and removable kitchen sink faucet head were my favorites! - I loved the colors of the cabinets, floors and countertops! I was in a unit with white cabinetry - the package system was great and I never had one lost or stolen - I was worried about parking as the Marquette Ave lot has terrible reviews but I never had a problem with it and appreciate that there was natural light on the upper parking levels! - Very convenient location if you work downtown in a skyway connected building Cons: - given the building is older, the plumbing is not the best and I typically had to wait a decent amount of time to get hot water even after submitting maintenance requests (the maintenance team improved the problem but it’s still not great) - lightrail noise: I got used to the lightrail noise very quickly but guests always comment on it - hallway noise: from my apartment I could hear everything happening in the hall even though people were usually quiet, however I think some floors had carpeted halls which probably improved this compared to the marble floors - the dog run is outdoors and requires two elevators to get to (this was mainly frustrating with having a puppy and now that he’s older it’s less burdensome) Overall I would recommend!

Living at Soo Line has been a joy! I moved in just about 3 months ago and have never stopped being impressed by the beautiful property and the management team! From the beautiful rooftop with incredible views, to the classic decor, to the apartments themselves. It has been a pleasure. The team here puts on fun monthly resident events, is responsive to issues, and is always looking for ways to improve the living experience. The convenience of the location has been unmatched. I am able to walk to work, the store, and anywhere downtown that I want. This allows me to save hundreds a month in travel expenses. Overall very happy with my choice to live at Soo line and I recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Minneapolis! Shout out to Isaac for helping me find a great place to live!
