We have lived here for 10 months and don't feel like we even need to take a vacation. Living here is like staying at a time share!! Anita and Gino in the management office take care of us like we are their spoiled kids. Attending to any request we have had. We had ants at one point and an exterminator was at our front door within 24 hours and we have not seen an ant since. There is no smoking allowed in public areas in Santa Cruz and the apartment complex is supportive. Even allows our pets. We are in heaven. Our third floor apartment with all the amenities including a view of the ocean and pool. Would recommend this complex to anyone. Especially if you like high ceilings, walking to the ocean or having a horse you want to keep close by at the ranch next door. We are so happy to have found Pacific Shores !!!

Expensive but by far the best place to live in Santa Cruz. None of the headache required living in a rented home. It's very easy to apply and get approved. The front office staff is friendly, eager and helpful. The maintenance staff is experienced and courteous. The complex has a pool and an adequate gym, which I utilize fully. It is close to campus and Safeway. The only real downside is that the material used in construction is not that sound proof. If you're not living on the top floor then excess sound may become an issue, especially when your neighbor never sleeps before 3am and likes to move around a lot.
