I moved in in June of this year, 2024. I looked at several apartment units in their various complexes. I chose Greenway Commons for its out of the way quietness but still being able to have access to the amenities. I was just now informed I do not, as I was inquiring what I needed to do to park there with the weather getting cold soon. During my tour and lease signing phase I was not told that the Greenway building did not have access to the parking garage. I was quoted a price in the tours and in my lease it mentions rules to follow for the parking garage. It also mentions that the company is not responsible for damaged caused to vehicles while in the parking lots. All of this makes me super unhappy as a resident. The fact that it was not specified or made clear during my rental process, it would have changed my mind for sure! My car is old and has a ton of miles and is not used to Minnesota cold. (only been here a year) I am now worried about it making it through the winter ok. I am also disappointed in maintenance of the parking we do have. There have been branches down due to extremely windy days that have not been tended to. No one came over to check on the parking lot ot to clean it up after these storms leaving residents to remove fallen branches. I am very worried about the trees in our lot, the way they hang over the cars and the amount of weight that will be added to them when it snows or ices over. But if the branches break and damage our cars it's not their issue?? That's not right especially if you are not maintaining the area adequately. I am a quite resident, keep to myself and pay my rent on time. I am disappointed in the lack of clarity, communication (took me 3 times to get a reply to my question before getting a reply.), and maintenance/care of our parking lot. I don't mind the area as it is quite but it seems that we are forgotten about a lot.
