My family lived in a 2-bedroom unit for two years (2018 - 2020) and had an overall really great experience. Brentwood Oaks strikes a nice balance of being reasonably priced while still having a lot of nice features. I'm not giving it 5 stars because it's "perfect", but because I feel like we got good value for our money. CONS: The buildings are not brand new, and this comes with some side effects. It's reasonable to expect that you'll need pest control and occasional maintenance help. Some features are lacking. I wish the kitchen had a real pantry for food storage. I wish there was a dedicated linen closet. I also wish there was an outlet in the hallway so I could vacuum it more easily. The gate situation can be a headache sometimes. Having to put your garbage in your car and drive it down the hill to the dumpster is... different. I get that dumpsters are an "eyesore", but I'd rather have that traditional convenience of being able to walk my trash out as soon as I want to get rid of it. Maybe that's just me. PROS: Our unit had an impressive amount of square footage on the deck, and the storage closet outside was an absolute life-safer for us. We love the "nooks" that the 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms offer. We enjoyed the more recent upgrades to appliances, floors and counter spaces. Some of the units on the top of the hill have incredible views. We never really used the pool, grills, or gym, but they always seemed quite nice as well. Every single interaction I've ever had with the leasing office was positive, friendly, and helpful. Portia was our main point of contact, and she is amazing!! We just felt really well-treated during our entire stay. I definitely feel like the complex cares about investing back into their property by upgrading and improving the space, as their budget allows, which is to the benefit of all residents. I should also mention that I think the company handled the COVID-19 situation very well, taking into consideration the health and safety of both residents and employees. One last note: Before we moved in, we were concerned by an older review stating that the complex would not put salt out on the hill during snowy or icy weather. I can confirm that over the past 2 years, this has not been the case. Salt has been consistently put out, which alleviated any fears I had about driving down that steep hill during bad weather. If you're apartment hunting on a budget, I'd recommend you consider Brentwood Oaks.

The staff and security are excellent. I have a lot of things to say about my experience in this fantastic community, but I’ll try to be brief. I can start with Kayla, and she’s a vital piece of this community. You can tell she cares about you! She got me one of the best apartments at the best price. She’s outgoing, watching, and does her job well, she’s cheerful, and she’s always willing to help. Kayla is outstanding as well and stays very professional! All the staff help get what you need to be done with maintenance requests on time and always do excellent, impeccable, and professional work! I don’t know if the guy is still here because I haven’t seen him lately, but he is fantastic!! All the staff at Brentwood Oaks are here to help and make your experience very comfortable. About the amenities… They keep clean swimming pools, a usable gym area, a dog park, and impeccable common areas. My neighbors are amicable, and everyone respects silence. This place has it all. I am delighted with my stay here! Thank you to all the staff for making me feel AT HOME!!
