I moved to this development in 2012, when I first got here the apartments were of a subpar quality. The maintenance crew was not very attentive and rarely ever throughly fixed any issues I experienced. However, I would say in the last 2 years there has been a change in the maintenance team. The maintenance guy Colin and others have been on top of every issue. In the past, I've constantly called and complained about a roach and mice infestation and the issue was never cured. Since the new maintenance team came in, I've complained about this issue one time. They spent an entire day in my apartment, from about 9-4pm, looking for holes that mice could be coming in from and filling them. Since they came out I have not had an issue with mice. They also sent out an extermination team. What really impressed me was that while the maintenance guys were in my apartment they looked for and fixed other issues they seen that I did not even call about! I can truly say that this new maintenance crew is the reason I've decided to stay here a bit longer.

I have lived here for about 3 years. I have never had issues with rodents or bugs. I live on the rental office side. I live in one bedroom apt. The space is good, clean, quiet most of time. The maintenance is good when you call and report issues. My only issues with Sussex is the price for one bedroom is pricey, plus utilities. Also I would like for the bathroom to be updated. Due to age of the building the light in the bathroom leaks every now and then. The plastic or drywall needs 2 b replaced. Maintenance is good and responsive. Maintenance come out looked at it assets and never got back with me. The are a couple of tiles on the bathroom floor that are loose. When I step on them they move. One has cracked. I just cover it up with my rugs. I hate the floor in the bathroom. I wish they would replace it but most likely want. Other then that its fine. I like my neighbors.
