Maintenance at City Hyde Park is consistently outstanding. The representative today, Tymophii, was another great example. In a professional and courteous manner, he resolved my issue and made sure I was completely satisfied. Thank you so much!

The public areas in this building are very comfortable. The building manager is helpful in solving all kinds of problems. Highly recommended to live here!
We’ve been very happy living at City Hyde Park since moving here in 2022. The location is excellent, with easy commutes to UChicago (#172 bus) and downtown (#2, #6, #28 buses, and the Metra). It’s conveniently located right next to Whole Foods, plus has many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. But the standout feature is the incredible staff at City Hyde Park. The property manager Thomas goes above and beyond for the residents here, as does Tay at the front desk, who is always friendly and organized, helping us with all our package deliveries.
The building is newer, with great amenities. Our only complaint would be a plumbing issue of grey water backing up from our kitchen sink drain. When we called the Mac resident center, they said only one person had authority to call emergency plumbers - and he couldn’t be reached. We had to stay up all night (from 10 PM to 10 AM) moving buckets of backed-up water from the sink to the toilet to prevent an overflow. It’s obviously unreasonable to expect residents to bucket-brigade sewage water for 12 hours straight overnight (and miss work the next day), so I hope the higher-ups at Mac will realize this and implement a more common-sense policy.
Thankfully Thomas was able to help us and make it right, along with Hector from maintenance who helped us get everything back into good shape (and has been another great part about living here over the years). We feel very grateful to the staff at City Hyde Park and recommend living here because of them.

I was going to go home to make some dinner when I passed by the lounge. The event not only ruined my dinner with myself plan but also terminated my low carb no sugar diet. That said, I really enjoyed the chips, the beverages, and the company. The hosting lady was super friendly and nice to me.
Please come back with Diet Coke. Kidding. No I’m not.
Shantavhia is amazing. Responsive, friendly, always ready to help. CHP wouldn't be the same without her.
CHP has been my comfort zone for 7 years now and I love everything about it… I feel safe and comfortable… Thomas is doing great things for us here at CHP and let’s not forget the maintenance team and front desk staff that’s working above and beyond for us and a special thanks to Juaria for all she does;)
City Hyde Park was my very first apartment, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The building is one of the best in Hyde Park, the location is convenient, and the staff truly made my time here feel like home. My favorite part was the long chit-chats with the front desk team, their warm greetings and smiles every morning and evening, and knowing my packages were always secured and ready when I needed them. Maintenance team was always on point always moved with a sense of urgency. I’ll always cherish the memories I made in this community. Highly recommend!

We love living at City Hyde park! Since Thomas small came on as our property manager things have gone from strength to strength. He comes up with inventive ways to bring residents together. He is proactive, and responds to our concerns in a timely manner. He follows up and makes sure our issues are resolved.
