We lived at Kelly Park from March 2019 to July of 2023, during that time we transferred from a first floor to a third floor. All of Kelly Park’s floor plans are really well thought out and offer tons of kitchen cabinet space and storage. We personally loved the Donovan floor plan for the large kitchen and closet space. We looked a few times at other apartment complexes in the area and none of them could come close to the price / square feet you are getting at Kelly Park. Major Pros: •Shalyce, the property manager, took over and has been making this apartment easily one of the best in Overland Park. She truly goes above and beyond to understand what your needs are and then exceeds them. She’s a large reason we stayed at Kelly Park, she wants to make you feel comfortable in your home. She understands that even though you’re living in an apartment, it’s still your HOME - and she wants you to feel comfortable and happy. •the new Maintenance team has been on top of requests and usually can complete them within 24-48 hours after requesting them. •apartment property lighting, there are multiple lights in the parking lots, on the stairwells and on the exterior of each apartment door. It is really well lit and makes you feel completely safe, even if you’re getting home late. Overall, if you’re on the fence for this apartment, I greatly recommend it. There is usually a waitlist, so I recommend getting on the list for the apartment floor plan you love the most

My time at Kelly Park this past year has been excellent! I truly felt at home here. Allison in the front office was a huge help throughout the past year - she always answered my questions, and her understanding when it came to helping me figure out a tricky roommate situation halfway through my lease was comforting to say the least. I can’t emphasize my appreciation enough. I felt like I could rely on her and the rest of the staff if I needed anything. I’ll definitely miss living here!

We moved to Kelly Park in 2022. Our old apartment office never picked up the phone. Maintenance took weeks. Moving to Kelly Park was like a dream. I’m an over-planner, and Allison the leasing consultant paid particularly close attention to our many questions. When Allison picked up, I knew my problem was getting dealt with. But by and large I could say that about the entire office team - when I called, people answered to help. I called maintenance with an issue on the weekend once - someone showed up 20 minutes later. I’d never seen anything like it. And maintenance routinely got dealt with within 3-5 days max. Our apartment was the Donovan layout. It was large, spacious, very square, the layout made incredible use of the space. Cabinets for days and days - more storage than we could ever use. The countertops were beautiful, and so were the cabinets and light fixtures. By far the nicest apartment we’ve ever lived in. The community was overall very quiet, and the apartment was impressive at noise reduction overall. It felt like Home. It felt incredibly safe, the community is full of families of all ages, with kiddos running around on bikes all the time. Families routinely would take walks after nightfall, because the community is well-lit. Additionally, it’s incredibly close to a thousand restaurants, shops, grocery stores, yet is tucked away enough that traffic noise is minimal. When we ultimately had to say goodbye, I told Kelly Park: “If we could pack up this complex and take it with us, we would - we loved living here and loved this layout. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience here. I hope, if some years down the line, we decide to come back to Kansas City, that this complex is still as nice and upkept as it is now, because I would live here again 1000%.” If we were to ever come back, I'd love to see a second dumpster set up on the property to reduce pileups by the mailbox. I'd also love for Kelly Park to install some speed bumps in the parking lot if they are allowed to, because there are a lot of kiddos around and residents and non-residents alike burn through that parking lot like it’s a race track.
