My boyfriend, myself, and our roommate are looking for one new roommate at 726 W. Clay St. for a 12-month lease starting on July 1st. Rent is $2100 a month ($700 per room) with all utilities included (electricity, water, heating/AC, sewage, trash, recycling, cable, internet). Our house is within walking distance from VCU Monroe Campus. The house is a three bedroom, two and-a-half bath house, and we are looking to fill one of the three bedrooms. All bedrooms have at least one window and our living room also has windows. We have a covered front porch with a small gated front yard, and all parking is street parking (permits may be purchased through City Hall for more available parking areas). All rooms in the house are carpeted except for the kitchen downstairs. We have all modern, functioning appliances, including microwave, oven/stovetop, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Both dogs and cats are allowed, however dog owners must pay an additional monthly fee, and owners of any animal are responsible for all potential damages (please also note that we already have an unnuetered boy dog here who is extremely friendly with both people and pets, but if you have an animal who is hostile towards humans/animals, they may not be a good fit for the house). My boyfriend is a photographer with a full time job and I am a full-time VCU student with a part time job. Our other roommate is a transfer student to VCU studying biomedical engineering. We spend a decent amount of time around the house cooking, watching movies, and hanging out on the porch, but we also are out-and-about fairly often with work and such. We like to keep a tidy house, but we're not too uptight as long as everyone helps out and shares responsibilities taking care of the house, and all three of us are really friendly and accommodating. We are NOT a party house. While there is nothing wrong with having friends over from time to time, we do not throw huge parties here; we are a smaller house and as stated, have responsibilities. If you smoke that is fine, although it is expected that it be done outside and not indoors.
