I have a 1BR unit available December 1st right in the heart of NE Minneapolis. It is quite roomy for one person or even a couple. A man and his teenage son stayed in it for the past three years, but are leaving due to a job change. The place has been recently painted and has new carpet installed as well. All the kitchen appliances stay (other than the microwave, which I will replace if you would like me to). Beltrami park is practically right across the street from this triplex, and you are walking distance from bus lines (well maybe not walking distance in the middle of winter:-)). You can drive to Quarry shopping center in 5 minutes or bike to the U in no time. You will not have to shovel snow or cut the lawn with this unit, and you can have some off-street parking as well. I also allow pets with a $100 deposit ($50 for each additional pet over the first one) but all that money is fully refundable if your pet doesn't do any damage while you are living here. I offer a month to month lease, because I believe that if you don't want to stay, I don't want to make you. I do not accept Section 8 though. My tenants seem to like me. Here are some quotes from emails I have received: "Thanks for being a great landlord. I sincerely appreciate the housing for the last few years. Let me know if you ever need anything." - Phil J. "The triplex is a nice and very cozy home in a friendly neighborhood with easy access to downtown and the campus area. There is a nice park within one block and the quarry with rainbow, target and home depot is also quite near. The landlord Hal is the best landlord I have had so far. Always very understanding, helpful and easy to communicate with and willing to go out his way to fix any issues." - Kido K. So if you like your privacy and want to save a whole lot of money on rent and utilities (I pay heat, water, trash and sewer), please give me a call. I will also work with you to improve the property during your stay. I have a 1BR unit available right in the heart of NE Minneapolis. It is quite roomy for one person or even a couple. It has been recently updated, and so everything is basically like new. The improvements include: â€Â¢ New kitchen cabinets with 'soft closing' drawers, dishwasher and microwave â€Â¢ New Paint throughout â€Â¢ Refinished hardwood floors everywhere except part of the bedroom and the bathroom â€Â¢ New tile in the bathroom -- both around the shower and on the floor â€Â¢ New carpet around your bed in the bedroom (nice to step out of bed onto carpet on a cold winter morning) In addition to the new stuff, the unit has a lot of other nice amenities. The bedroom is pretty large, especially for an older house. There are TWO closets in the bedroom, along with more storage in the basement (your own basement). One of the closets has a stackable laundry unit in it so you can put your clothes away right as they come out of the dryer, so you won't need to share a washer and dryer with anyone else. All of the windows are also only a couple of years old to help keep the place warm. The location is great as well. Beltrami park is practically right across the street from this triplex, and you are walking distance from bus lines (well maybe not walking distance in the middle of winter:-)). You can drive to the Quarry shopping center in 5 minutes or bike to the U in no time. You will not have to shovel snow or cut the lawn with this unit, and you can have some off-street parking as well. Here are some quotes from emails I have received: "Hal did everything he said he would do on the lease and went the extra mile several times for us. He was easy to reach when we had questions or problems and made sure we were comfortable in the house. That's more than one can ask for in a landlord. He even stocked the fridge with cold ones for us a few times!" -- Justin Z. "The property is well maintained and in excellent shape. Hal is more than willing to make improvements when it is necessary, or to make things more comfortable, such as adding a new heating/central cooling unit to our duplex. If there is a problem, I always get a quick response and am always satisfied with the solution. I would definitely rent from Hal in the future, he is a fair landlord and is always responsive to our needs." -- Eric V. So if you like your privacy and want to save a whole lot of money on utilities (I pay heat, water, trash and sewer), please send me an email or shoot me a text. I have a 1BR unit in my triplex available February 1st right in the heart of NE Minneapolis. It is quite roomy for one person or even a couple. The place has cozy, comfortable carpet in the bedroom. The living room has the beautiful old hardwood floors. And the large bathroom has tile on the floor and around the shower. All the kitchen appliances, including the dishwasher, stay. You will also be able to do your laundry right in your own unit - for FREE! Beltrami park is practically right across the street from this triplex, and you are walking distance from bus lines (well maybe not walking distance in the middle of winter:-)). You can drive to the Quarry shopping center in 5 minutes or bike to the U in no time. You can have some off-street parking as well. I allow pets with a $100 deposit ($50 for each additional pet over the first one) but all that money is fully refundable if your pet doesn't do any damage while you are living here. I would ask for a year-long lease but I do not accept Section 8 though. I'm going to miss the current tenant. She was wonderful to work with, and was very kind in her assessment of her experience: "I've lived at 639 Fillmore St. NE, Apt #2 for two years, and it's been a great home. It's peaceful and relaxing. My downstairs neighbor is very nice and respectful (bonus: we split super high speed internet for a very reasonable amount). Everything about living here has been very easy. The very few times I have needed something (e.g. when my washing machine needed to be fixed), Hal was very responsive and had it immediately repaired. PS: the washer and dryer work great now, and it's a game changer to have your own, if you've never had that luxury before. The parking on this block is also a luxury; you will never have a problem parking -- there is a ton! And the street is super wide because it's a biking street. Grocery shopping is a breeze because The Quarry (i.e. Cub and Target) is like three minutes away. There's also an amazing co-op nearby. You'll basically be close to everything. If you rent from Hal, know that you are in good hands with a great guy. Renting from him will be a totally different experience than renting from the big property management companies that have taken over Minneapolis." My other tenants seem to like living her as well. Here are some quotes from emails I have received: "Thanks for being a great landlord. I sincerely appreciate the housing for the last few years. Let me know if you ever need anything." - Phil J.
