About 469 Van Buren Ave
Welcome to Adam's Point! This is a posting for a VERY large master bedroom in a 2b/2ba) with tons of closet space, and a en suite bathroom, located a block north of Lake Merritt. If you are familiar with Oakland, you know the neighborhood is great, with plenty of vibrant stores, restaurants, bars, and, of course, the Lake! Apartment has a decent sized kitchen, open living room floorplan, and did I mention it is right by the Lake? The room: Master bedroom (which is as large as some of my friend's studios!) has a private bathroom and two large closets, with several other closets for storage throughout the apartment. One off street parking spot that is shared (and typically serves as two spots). The common areas of the apartment are currently partially furnished, as my roomie just moved out with all of her great stuff :) However, I will be filling the apartment with new furniture, symbiotic with whatever you bring into the space. Building is extremely safe and so is the neighborhood. Unfortunately, this is a no pet building. Room is available pretty much immediately. About me: I work the ol 8-6 at a small company in downtown Oakland. I like heading out of town on the weekends, but serve as good company when I am at home. Wine nights, happy hours and shared dinners are definitely enjoyable, but I am independent and have an active life outside of my four walls if you prefer your space instead. About you: I would like to have someone who is active and independent, interested in exploring Oakland and our great neighborhood. Building management will require you to pass credit and background checks, and you will have to show proof of income. You will be on the month-to-month lease and will have all of the protections and obligations that follow. I am hoping to find a stable housemate situation, preferably for at least 6 months. Walking distances to various places: .25 miles to casual carpool for morning commute to SF (Which is GREAT) Right by the bus stop for commute-hours express bus from SF (just a 21 minute ride from SF Transbay Terminal) 1.1 miles to 19th Street Oakland BART station .4 miles to Whole Foods .4 miles to Trader Joe's Pretttty much on Lake Merritt I will be posting more (and better) pictures soon, as my housemate is in the middle of transition and there are mostly boxes right now :) Contact me if you would like to swing by in the evening for a peek inside.
