I am a female young professional looking for a roommate for the second bedroom in my two bedroom/two bathroom townhouse. I moved here from out of state last year, found an amazing roommate, but she decided to go back to grad school, so now I have a room to fill. I spent a lot of time looking around Lexington to find this place when I moved here last year, and if you are looking to live right in the middle of downtown like I was, at an affordable price, this is an ideal place for you! (Note: No pets allowed, as per the lease.) The house is a beautiful, vintage, 2-story town house that was built circa 1900, located in the historic district of Lexington. It is around 1600 sq. feet, so it has a ton of space, and includes a kitchen, dining room, and living room on the first floor, and two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry room on the second floor. The available room contains two large closets, one of them which is a walk-in! You have a private bathroom with a beautiful exposed brick wall and a new vanity. The unit also came with a washer and dryer included! They're on the second floor so very convenient for doing your laundry. There are decorative fireplaces in every room, as well as plenty of large windows. Right before I moved in, the landlord put in new carpets, and renovated both bathrooms, so the place is in really good shape. (The landlord is also great, very responsive and helpful.) The unit also includes a private back deck that's in a courtyard shared with a few other residents. There is free parking provided in a small lot directly behind the unit with assigned spots for each apartment. The unit also has central A/C. I took care of furnishing the unit throughout the year, so the first floor is fully furnished with dining room and living room furniture. I enjoy decorating the unit, but haven't had too much time to dedicate to it, so it's a work in progress! The open bedroom is unfurnished, so you'd need to provide your own bed, dressers, etc. Rent is $455 per person (per month) plus basic utilities; water, electric, and gas. I also have internet set up for $35/month so that will be split in half as well. The unit is at a perfect location downtown, walking distance to all of the main local restaurants, bars, library, farmers market, etc., and only about a 5 minute walk to Cheapside Pavillion. However, it's on a relatively quiet street, and I've never had any problems with noisy neighbors or anything like that. My previous roommate moved into her new place slightly sooner than she was expecting, so the room is available immediately! I'm hoping to find another female young professional (I'm 23) to move in ASAP. A little bit about me, as I mentioned I'm originally from out of state and relatively new to the area, and love exploring Lexington! I enjoy all different kinds of things, from live concerts to trying local restaurants to hiking in Red River Gorge. I work 40+ hours a week as an engineer, but I also enjoy being social and having a good time, so I'm hoping to find someone who is also responsible but sociable. Overall, the unit is an amazing value for the price, is at a perfect location, and has just about everything you could ask for! Please email you if this seems like it might be a good fit for you, and we can talk more. Looking forward to hearing from you!
