Russell School Apartments is located in Lexington, Kentucky. It is an elderly HUD 202 PRAC property consisting of 27 one-bedroom apartments for ages 62 and over. This historic building originally opened in 1954 as Russell Elementary School. Russell Elementary closed in 2003 and was transformed into Russell School Apartments. It was redesigned to include many original features such as the gym floor, lockers and windows. The award winning project was recognized by the Lexington Historic Society with its annual Adaptive Use Award.
