Hi, my roommate and I are looking for a considerate roommate to share our duplex apartment in Prospect Heights. The rent for your room will be $1300 a month (heat, electric, and internet not included, ~$75-100/mo/pp). The building is conveniently located one block from the Brooklyn Museum, Botanic Garden, Library, Grand Army Plaza and Prospect Park. Nearest subway is a two-minute walk to 2/3 Eastern Parkway stop, 10-minute walk to either the 4/5 (Franklin Avenue) or B/Q (7th Avenue). We are friendly, responsible, clean, and considerate people who enjoy a good laugh and a glass of wine (or four). We love cooking, PBS, Christmas music, gays, and burritos. We are on the first floor where there is a large entryway, a kitchen with a dishwasher, and a large shared dining area/living room with two couches, an exposed brick wall and three large windows. The first floor is also where your bathroom and bedroom are located. The available room is the largest in the apartment and features tall ceilings, hard wood floors with two large windows. On the lower-level there are two bedrooms and a shared bathroom where we live. The apartment building has laundry (on every floor, so no having to go down to a gross basement!), twenty-four-hour security (a person at the front desk), and a nice family feeling. There are NO PETS allowed in the building, no parties and no loud music. Also, you should be O.K. with not smoking in the apartment (weed, ciggs or otherwise). The building will require you to pass a credit check.
