Hi guys I’m looking for a roommate for my apartment. I have an available bedroom for move-in. Location: Mills College Area in Oakland, in a cull-de-sac near a pre-school (The school entrance near the house is the employee entrance so noise level from kids is virtually nil). Close to MacArthur, 580 freeway, Joaquin Miller, Laurel, Montclair and highway 13. 10 minute drive to downtown Oakland, Temescal, Grand Lake, Piedmont, Emeryville, 15 minutes to Berkeley. Building is small (4 units) and well managed (I am on premises manager/owner). The unit is well designed with new and modern decor and has everything needed to live comfortably. Kitchen includes brand new washer and dryer plus all the normal appliances and more - Fridge, Oven/Range, Nespresso, etc. I have a security system in my unit with cameras on the property. about 950 sq ft apt. Each unit comes with a garage parking space and gated driveway. I am using the garage space for this unit but am out of town often and we can coordinate with driveway parking as well. There is an undeveloped back yard. It is a project that we will be working on in 2023. the bedroom is 12’ x 11’, has one window facing East that gets good sun and it’s furnished: a Tempurperdic Queen bed, blackout curtains, a bedstand and lamp, small desk, small 2 seat couch, a rug, a brand new 32” smart TV on a wall swivel and a sliding door closet. It’s comfy and ready to move in. No storage space except for clothing closet. $1,100/month includes internet, water and garbage etc. (Month to month , no contract)Electricity shared with me. Roommates: Me. I’m a 48 y.o. male. I run a couple businesses and am in and out of the house for work. I also travel a lot, out of town almost 50% of the time each week, with occasional longer trips. It’s a cozy environment and I don’t have a lot of guests. I work, go to the gym often and socialize outside of the house. I’m progressive and into int’l travel and a music head. I’m easy going, 420 friendly (I rarely smoke) but not into any heavy partying at the house. NO DRUGS OR CIGARETTE SMOKE. I have a friendly and chill 2 and a half year old Terrier (1 foot tall and 26 pounds) but he mostly lives with my parents so he is only at the house occasionally for a few days at a time. All the tenants in the other units were handpicked by me and are super cool and friendly folk. It’s a good mix of people around the building and people communicate well but have their own lives. Looking for someone with good comfortable energy, professional, responsible and trustworthy. Please have a credit report with good credit, pay stubs to show you’re able to pay rent, and references from past housemates and landlords. Not in a rush to rent but ideally, we can start a month to month contract sooner than later (30 days notice required from either party, me or you, for you to vacate if it isn’t working out).
