Martin Van Buren was a president lost in the mix. He came after Andrew Jackson and was perhaps always obscured by his predecessor's shadow. William Henry Harrison (the guy who croaked 30 days after taking the oath) came after, quickly followed by John Tyler, and made Van Buren a distant memory handy for naming streets. That's where this place comes in. In Germantown, the streets are either numbered or presidential. This one is tucked away on Van Buren street. You'll just turn off the street, enter this cool little community, and zip right into your private garage. You'll enter into a flexible office/rec room/play room with a handy half bath. It's nice and sunny down here; huge windows feature neat built in shades. You can access a grassy area through the nearby front door. Upstairs, you'll find an airy condo dream world with exposed ductwork, soaring ceilings, and tons of natural light. There's a cool balcony that has room for a couple chairs. It's adjacent to an open living/dining/kitchen area with high end appliances and plenty of counter space and storage. A nifty TV setup is already there for you. The TV floats on the wall opposite the living area ready for football games or morning news. Down the hall, you'll find a HUGE bathroom with a modern (but tasteful) touch. Beyond that, you'll find the large master bedroom. It has two walk-in closet with organizers. Even though this place just has one full bedroom, it doesn't have the feel of a cramped "loft" condo. There's plenty of privacy and every inch of the space is utilized so that this place feels a lot bigger than it really is. If you need to stretch your legs, no problem. You'll find the best restaurants in town- Rolf and Daughter, Silo, Germantown Cafe, and more- right down the street. Downtown and all of Nashville's other hot spots are not far off from here.
