Hi! I am moving out of my wonderful Silver Lake apartment and my roommate would love to fill the space with a cool female roommate. She is 27 and would like to fill it with someone who is around that age, considerate and clean. I am a writer who works as a paralegal by day and she works at a non-profit in dtla. We also met on Craigslist and it has been an amazing living situation. She is a great, communicative and thoughtful roommate. You would get your own room with a closet. It is plenty big enough for a full or queen bed, a dresser, desk and any other small furniture you might want to stick in there. There is also ample closet space throughout the rest of the apartment. The bathroom is shared, but this has never been an issue. There is a living/family room with a tv and cable as well as a dining room with a big table and some extra space if want to bring furniture. The communal spaces are nice and big and there will be room for you to decorate, though it is mostly fully furnished even after I leave. The kitchen is not too large but has all of the essentials. She also has most of the appliances and tableware you'd need, but there is space for yours as well. There is also covered parking if you want to pay extra for that, but I have never once had an issue finding a spot on our street since there is no street sweeping. There is laundry on site as well and I've never waited for a washer or dryer there. It's pretty great! I believe you can bring a cat for an extra deposit but you will need to discuss this with my roommate. I will be happy to send you photos! The place is in walking distance to a grocery store, cvs and Starbucks as well as Silverlake Coffee, the ChaCha Lounge, Gingergrass, Modern Eats and lots of other fun spots. My favorite, though, would be the reservoir. It's a great spot to exercise, hang with friends or just take a walk. Bummed to leave such a great spot and great roommate, but an opportunity came up that I can't say no to, so I'm hoping to find someone amazing to move in with her.
