I'm a 28-year-old professional male, working at the U.S. patent office. I've been at the Carlyle Mill apts since I moved from California 7 months ago. I recently got a two-bedroom and would like to split the rent with another person (male or female). The floor plan is called Selkirk and you can check out the complex, floor plan and all the amenities from this website: http://www.equityapartments.com/virginia/alexandria-arlington-apartments/alexandria/carlyle-mill-apartments.aspx This place has a nice pool, roof-top basketball and tennis court with a nice grilling area. The apartment is a short 5 minute walk to the Eisenhower metro and it's a corner unit so it's nice and bright. It comes with in-unit washer/dryer and the kitchen is open with a nice and large island. I've already got a couch and some furniture in the living room so you will only need to bring what you'd like for your room. Your room will have its own private bathroom and walk-in closet. All utilities are included and they are all under my name including a really nice and fast wireless internet. I've included some photos from the common area and your room. Note that I now have some furniture in the common area which you'll be able to come take a look at if you're interested in this place. Here are the stuff I'll need from you: $1100 on or before the 1st of every month. No smoking or drugs in the house. Guests are fine any time as long as they are respectful and not too loud especially once it's sleeping time. No pets of any kind please. A little about me: I like to play my Spanish guitar every once in a while and I'm not too bad so I hope you won't need ear plugs, also I road bike, snowboard, play tennis, basketball, soccer, beach volleyball, etc. If interested call or text me at (949)331-5216 My name is Sepehr but since that's a bit challenging you can call me Sep for a little while.

Hi there! So I'm looking to move out of this place by the end of the summer and am hoping to find someone to replace me here. There is no deposit, other than a 40 dollar application fee, because you will be taking my spot on the lease. I can go over the logistics of how it works in terms of the lease in further detail if you end up being interested in the place. Also, note that the square footage on the title is for the whole apartment. The room itself is around 155 square feet not including the closet and bathroom. You also have access to the kitchen, living room, and laundry room. Regarding the apartment, it is the Greenbriar floorplan in the Carlyle Mill Apartments Community. You'll be renting the 14' x 11' 1" master bedroom which has its own bathroom with a huge tub and walk-in closet that you could probably rent out in its own right. The place with two guys in their 30s that keep to themselves and work in the city, so they are out and about more often than not. Both of my current roommates are on-and-off smokers (I am not) who I have trouble keeping track of when they are on a period of quitting or smoking. They never smoke indoors and the place never smells of the stuff, definitely haven't had any problems with that. The community is pet friendly and I'm sure the roommates would be cool if you had a pet, you'll have to pay extra on your rent though. Also, on the rent, the number I posted doesn't include the 70 dollar parking fee. So if you have a vehicle, you'll need to pay that and utilities as well. The apartment is on the ground floor and has two doors, one leading to an inside hallway where your mailbox is and french doors that goes directly to the street. This makes moving in extremely easy. All I had to do was park my moving van outside, open the french doors, and carry things right across into the room. Extremely convenient, just like the location of the place. Within walking distance of two metro stops (Eisenhower Ave. and Duke St.), the USPTO, Whole Foods, 495/95, and Old Town...so this room works well if you work in DC, as both of the roommates do. Feel free to contact me at any time via email to get any questions answered, scheduling a time for me to show the place, etc. - Taylor (P.S. I'll probably be posting images of the space later on.)

The 2nd largest bedroom in our apartment is up for grabs in March. The room is spacious, has a walk-in closet, and will share the second bathroom with a male. I'll be moving out my furniture, so if you have some you'd like to bring, it would be welcomed by the other roommates. It's near the Patent and Trademark Office, SHRM, and other Old Town employers. 5 minute walk from the Eisenhower Metro and 15 minute walk from the King St. Metro It's great for a newcomer to the area who wants the option to continue looking for apartments with the option to find a substitution for the lease (which I'm taking advantage of) Pets can reside in this apartment with approval from your roommates and a pet deposit. Other utilities total about $100/month (water/sewer, gas, electric, cable/internet) There is also a winter shuttle to the King Street metro About the roommates: The roommates are laid back, active, clean, late-20s to early 30 somethings (currently 3 males), and are working professionals in Alexandria (PTO) and DC (near Union Station and near Farragut West). We don't party, but are pretty friendly and get along really well. It's all about finding a good fit for living together, right? This community is very social and offers plenty of opportunity to meet new people, especially at the pool in the summer. The majority of the community is comprised of professionals at the nearby Patent and Trade Office, local military bases, and other federal agencies and companies in the DC metro area. If you have any questions, please respond to this post.
