Unit location on the top floor is ideal, and it is right across the hall from a roof-top balcony with views of the Capitol Building and a spacious kitchen/dining meeting space. The building also has an in-house gym, business center for internet/printing services, and a pub/game area complete with a pool table, shuffleboard and darts. There is also a central courtyard if you'd like to relax outside. Building management has been steady and consistent for several years, they are excellent and super-responsive. Eastern Market is just a 5 minute walk, and the Potomac Ave metro station is right across the street. There are several local dining options including all of the restaurants of Barrack's Row, the best Italian deli in DC (Mangialardo's) and the brand new "Roost" complex just across the street. For military personnel, the unit is located a short drive from the Navy Yard and/or 395 highway access to the Pentagon, while the Capitol Building is a straight shot down Penn Ave for government personnel. The unit does not have an assigned garage parking space, however, I have always found a Zone 6 spot available within a block of the building and a garage parking spot may be available for rent through another Jenkins Row resident if desired.
