We have a room available on April 1 (can be flexible on move in date if needed) in a large, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath house located in the heart of the Clarendon/Court House neighborhoods. Clarendon Metro is about .25 mi away, and Court House Metro is about .5 mi away. If you have a car, there is room to park in the driveway with 2 of the roommates and zoned street parking for visitors. The room available shares a full bathroom with one female roommate and is right outside the bedroom door. The room itself currently holds a queen bed, dresser, chest, and has plenty of space for storage in a custom-built closet unit and a smaller side closet for longer hanger items (dresses, suits). You also have direct access to the attic for additional storage, and a shed in the backyard. The house has a large family room, dining area, and updated kitchen. There is a sunroom downstairs with a half bath attached to it that is currently used as a home office/storage area by the roommates, and a large porch and yard. There is a full size washer and dryer next to the kitchen. Your roommates are 2 females and 1 male, late 20s-early 30s, and one large loveable dog. Everyone is active with work, extracurriculars, and friends, but are all friendly and will stop to chat if everyone is home at the same time (the dog will chase shadows and force you to pet and love him when he isn't napping). We do have friends over, but the party stays out of the house late night to be considerate. There is no assigned chore schedule, but everyone is expected to be conscious of contributing to the upkeep of the house and shared goods, like buying dishwasher soap and paper towels, and helping take out the trash. Everyone cleans up after themselves in a timely manner and is good about keeping the shared areas tidy, which is not hard since we do have a maid that comes bi-weekly to clean floors, bathrooms, surfaces, and even your bedroom. Rent is $1018.75/month starting May 1 (it will be $1000 for April), plus utilities (water, gas, electric, cable, internet) and the maid service every other week for $150/month. Security deposit is $1025, payable to the departing roommate. The lease runs through April 31, 2016 with the option to renew at that time.
