This home is built for comfort and can sleep up to ten people. The open-concept living area seamlessly combines the kitchen, dining, and living spaces, ensuring conversation flows freely. The kitchen is equipped for your convenience. Three bedrooms provide restful spaces after a day by the water, complemented by two bathrooms with hot showers. Outside, find shade, chairs, a charcoal grill, horseshoes, and an outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off sand after beach visits. Parking is available on the concrete driveway. Grilling is permitted only on the patio area downstairs. Gilchrist offers a serene beach experience between the open Gulf and the bay. The beach is wide and largely uncrowded, with slow-moving vehicles and fishermen at dawn. Houses are elevated on pilings, providing ample space and sky. Small cafes, bait shops, and stores are a short drive away, and the ferry to Galveston is nearby for day trips. The best way to get around is by car or truck for errands and exploring. For shorter distances, golf carts or walking down the quiet street to the sand are popular options. Mosquitos can be prevalent, so bringing bug spray is recommended. Please rinse sand off at the outdoor sand shower or water hoses before entering the house, and leave sandy shoes on the deck. Do not flush feminine hygiene products or anything other than toilet paper down the toilet to protect the septic system. Avoid pouring grease down the drains. Park only on the concrete driveway and be careful not to hit the pilings. If something is accidentally broken, please report it immediately. Please lock doors and windows upon departure. If guests are asked to leave due to irresponsible behavior, no refund will be given for lost days. Guests are responsible for any locksmith/re-key costs if a key is lost or the code is forgotten, unless the issue is due to a lock/smart-lock failure or the host's error.
