What makes this home different than all of the rest? The basement apartment with side door access (or kitchen door access) has been used for extended family, an au pair, a second couple, and a home office, or it can be used as a family room that stays cool even in 100 degree weather! The apartment is not soundproof enough to rent separately, but it is like getting two houses for the price of one. I will post updated pictures, when landscaping is refreshed, that include the new Pella windows throughout the home. Desirable close-in neighborhood is only a 5-min drive to downtown. It is one house off Alberta Street and is near the popular Mississippi District. You can walk to acclaimed restaurants, coffee shops and bars, and the bike score is 91. You'll love the home for its location and you'll love the home itself. There are still period features like charming built-ins but the home was remodeled to open up space, hardwood throughout the main floor, and windows feature top-down bottom-up blinds (except for the windows and skylights in the gorgeous sunroom)! There are fun features like a wood-burning fireplace, a Jacuzzi tub with rain shower, double-door entry and walk-in closet in the huge 4th bedroom downstairs, and a producing apple tree in the backyard. The utility room is huge and great for lots of storage, and includes a washer/dryer. Home is pet friendly with a doggie "relief" area behind the garage, and there's a popular off-leash park just across the street on Alberta. Next to home is a long driveway, and garage has workshop built-ins. This is a pleasant, smoke-free home. The front door has an electronic touchpad for keyless entry, so walk the dog, pick up your morning coffee, visit your favorite bar, or go for a bike ride...hands free :)
