SF Bay Area Metro Report: March 2018

The Zumper SF Bay Area Metro Report analyzed active listings in February across 30 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The California one bedroom median rent last month was $1,842.

The Most Expensive

San Francisco, Californie stayed as the most expensive city in the metro with one bedrooms priced at $3,400.

Mountain View, CA rent dropped $170 to $3,100 but remained the second priciest.

Emeryville, CA saw rent fall $110 to $2,820, ranking as third.

The Least Expensive

Vallejo, CA, following a few months of rapid growth, saw rent drop $10 to $1,490, remaining the most affordable in the metro.

Santa Rosa, CA ranked as second with one bedrooms priced at $1,600.

San Leandro, CA remained the third least expensive city with rent at $1,700.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Fremont & Concord, CA tied for having the fastest growing rent since this time last year, both up 15.9%.

Santa Clara, CA followed closely behind with the second largest year over year rental growth rate, 15.8%.

Mountain View, CA ranked as third with rent climbing 15.7% since this time last year.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

Concord, CA also had the fastest growing rent last month as well, up 5.2%.

Petaluma & Richmond, CA tied for second with rents both increasing 5.1%.

San Ramon, CA rent had the third largest growth rate last month, climbing 5%.SFBayAreaMar
