The Zumper Seattle Metro Report analyzed active listings in August across 19 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.
Cities Ranked By Rent
Le plus cher
–Seattle, WA outpaced Bellevue this month to rank as the most expensive city to rent in the metro area with one bedrooms priced at $1,950.
–Bellevue, WA was close behind with rent at $1,930.
–Kirkland, WA rent ranked as the third priciest in the metro at $1,880.

–Lakewood, WA rent grew nearly 4% since last month but continued to reign as the least expensive in the metro.
–University Place, WA had the second most affordable rent at $850.
–Marysville, WA was third at $870.
Growth Rate

–Seattle, WA, along with having the priciest rent, also had the largest yearly rent growth rate, climbing 12.7%.
–Edmonds, WA was second with rent up 10.7% since this time last year.
–Kirkland, WA ranked as third with rent growing 8%.

–Edmonds, WA saw prices shoot up 4.7% since last month, making it the fastest growing in the metro.
–Auburn, WA followed behind with a 4.4% monthly growth rate.
–Lakewood, WA rent was third, climbing 3.9% since last month.
