The Zumper Seattle Metro Report analyzed active listings in September across 19 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Washington state one bedroom median was $1,211 last month.

Bellevue, WA reclaimed its spot as the most expensive city with rent growing 2.1% to $1,970.

Seattle, WA was second with rent at $1,870.

Kirkland, WA followed suit as third with rent at $1,820.

Lakewood, WA rent, though growing $40 last month to $830, remained the most affordable in the metro.

University Place & Marysville, WA tied for second with rents at $870.

Auburn, WA ranked as third with rent at $900.

Kirkland, WA followed closely behind with a 9% yearly growth rate.
