The Zumper Seattle Metro Report analyzed active listings in May 2019 across 20 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Washington state one bedroom median was $1,292 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

Le plus cher

Bellevue saw rent grow $100 to $2,090 and remain the priciest in the metro.

Seattle, WA continued to rank as the second most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,880.

Redmond, WA was third with rent at $1,860.

Le moins cher

-Marysville, WA stayed the most affordable city with rent at $910.

Lakewood, WA rent was an even $1,000, making it the second least expensive.

University Place, WA followed closely as third with rent at $1,030.

Growth Rate

Renton, WA had the fastest growing rent, up 12.9% since this time last year.

Sammamish, WA rent jumped 10%, making it second.

University Place, WA was third with rent climbing 9.6%.

Renton, WA saw rent climb 4.6% last month, making it the second fastest growing.

Lynnwood, WA followed closely behind as third with rent jumping 4.4%.
