The Zumper Seattle Metro Report analyzed over 10,000 active listings in March across 19 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.
Cities Ranked By Rent
Le plus cher
–Bellevue, WA continued to reign as the most expensive city in the metro area with one bedroom rent priced at $1,980.
–Seattle & Redmond, WA tied for the second priciest city this month, both with rents at $1,810.
–Kirkland, WA outpaced Sammamish to become the 3rd most expensive city to rent at $1,700.
Le moins cher
–Lakewood, WA, similar to last month, remained the least expensive city to rent in the metro area. Rent here was $750.
–University Place, WA rent decreased $10 to $800 but the city still continued to rank as the second most affordable.
–Marysville, WA ranked as the third least expensive city to rent at $860.
Yearly Growth Rate

–Lakewood, WA, although the least expensive city to rent in the metro, had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 11.9%.
–Burien, WA followed closely behind with an 11.7% yearly growth rate.
–Bothell, WA rents grew 10.8% since this time last year, making it the third fastest growing.

–Puyallup, WA had the fastest growing rent since last month, increasing 5.2%.
–Edmonds, WA had the second fastest growing monthly rents, up 5%.
–Federal Way, WA rent, closely behind Edmonds, grew 4.9% since last month.
