Austin Metro Report: May 2018

The Zumper Austin Metro Report analyzed active listings in April across 13 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas state median rent was $941 last month.

Brushy Creek, TX continued to rank as the most expensive city with rent at $1,180.

Austin, TX followed closely behind as second with one bedrooms priced at $1,170.

Leander, TX moved up one spot to regain its position as third with rent growing $40 to $1,120.

San Marcos, TX rent dropped $10 to $880 and remained the most affordable in the metro.

Wells Branch, TX was second with rent at $910.

Jollyville, TX continued to rank as third, though rent dropped $20 to $950 last month.

Georgetown, TX was second with rent climbing 11.1%.

Round Rock, TX rent was the third fastest growing, jumping 8.7%.
