The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings last month across metro cities to identify the most and least expensive cities, as well as those with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom median rent was $1,300 last month.

The Most Expensive

  • Alpharetta ranked as the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,660.
  • Atlanta was the second priciest with rent at $1,620.
  • Sandy Springs placed third with rent at $1,490.

The Least Expensive

  • Carrollton was the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $880.
  • Lagrange ranked as the second least expensive with rent at $1,020.
  • Rome & Forest Park were tied third with rents both at $1,030.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

  • Rome had the fastest growing rent, up 28.8% since this time last year.
  • Griffin saw rent climb 27.1%, making it the second fastest growing.
  • Lagrange was third with rent increasing 13.3%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

  • Marietta had the largest monthly growth rate, up 5.7%.
  • Sandy Springs was second with rent climbing 2.8%.
