The Zumper Atlanta Metro Report analyzed active listings in June 2019 across 11 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom state median rent was $987 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

Le plus cher

Atlanta & Sandy Springs, GA tied for the city with the fastest growing rent, both with one bedrooms priced at $1,370.

Alpharetta, GA was the next priciest city with rent at $1,330.

Dunwoody, GA saw rent drop $10 to $1,280 and rank as the fourth priciest city.

Gainesville, GA remained the most affordable city with rent at $900.

Norcross, GA ranked as the second least expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $940.

Newnan, GA stayed as third with rent at $1,020.

Growth Rate

Newnan, GA had the fastest growing rent, up 15.9% since this time last year.

Gainesville, GA saw rent jump 9.8%, making it the second fastest growing.

Alpharetta, GA was third with rent climbing 7.3%.
