I have been living here for about 7 months now. This is the 3rd apartment I have lived in since being in Omaha, and it is by far the best one. My fiancé and I were extremely picky when looking for new apartments and this one was extremely clean, the apartments themselves were in great shape and very big for the price we pay, and the staff are very easy to work with. So if your looking for a new place to live give this place a call and get on the list as soon as possible! Pool season is right around the corner!😊
I love living here my neighbors are all so friendly. Management is awesome they are always on top of things. My garbage disposal broke recently and they came that day to fix it. I'm honestly proud to say I live here it truly is home!

I've lived here for about 2 years, and I am transferring to a larger two-bedroom apartment. The office staff are professional and have been very generous in working with me to meet my needs. They allow larger dogs than most apartments and the maintenance staff work hard to insure your items get worked on quickly. You can't beat the move in costs as well as how easy it is to transfer to a different apartment should you need to expand your space.
I've lived in the Oaks at Lakeview for over 2 years. Having lived in different apartment complexes and condos in Omaha, this one has been my favorite.
The grounds are well kept and the snow is removed in a timely manner. The common halls and garages are kept clean. I work in Midtown, so having the interstate so close means a very quick commute. The apartment complex is gated at night, so it cuts down on random traffic at night. And unlike other places I've lived with "secure" entries at each building's doors that people end up propping open, leaving ajar, or handing out the passcode to anyone, the management actually enforces keeping the doors closed and locked at all times.
I live on the top floor, and I rarely hear our neighbors. I'm sure it's different in the lower apartments, but the walls between apartments keep the sound down.
The main complaint I have heard from my neighbors has been about the price of the apartments. It is definitely not an "economy class" apartment complex. The apartments are newer and have a lot of amenities (pool, exercise room, elevators, underground parking, clubhouse, pet stations) and you are paying for them. I don't feel like it is any more expensive than similar complexes in Omaha, but if you don't need the amenities, you can find somewhere cheaper.

We haven’t moved in just yet, but the application and touring process was the best experience me and my husband have ever had, Jennifer was the absolute BEST the first real conversation with a leasing agent we’ve had, she was so informative and reassuring. I cannot wait to move in with my family, thank you Jennifer!
The Oaks at Lakeview: A Narrative Review
I spent several years not just living-- but thriving at The Oaks. Now, take my hand, and let’s take a trip down memory lane together.
Just kidding, I’ll try to be succinct. Overall, I highly recommend these apartments. I endured several staff changes throughout my time here, and please rest assured that the management AND maintenance staff members were quick to respond, respectful, and made things right when something went wrong (e.g., quickly tended to AC unit when it stopped working, got us a loaner washer when ours decided to open the flood gates, helped me get in touch with the roofing contractors when I got a nail in my car tire to get reimbursed, battled a big spider with fangs that was building his own apartment complex out of his spidery silky webby nastiness outside of my patio door, etc.).
To close, moving out was an easy process. You just have to follow the rules you SIGNED YOUR NAME TO IN YOUR LEASING AGREEMENT. That may be a surprise to some of you, but please read the items to which you are agreeing. I read the lease. In fact, I read it every night before bed.
I know I just refuted a lot of what these other reviews say, but you can trust me, I’m a doctor now.

I am a fairly new resident here and I honestly can say I am so happy I am living here with my family. I love how the maintenance team responds so quickly; they are detailed and do not just put a “bandage” on the issue. They are a friendly and professional team. Before applying, my husband and I read the reviews. The biggest complaints at the time have been addressed and appropriately communicated! One of the issues addressed was the parking lots having large potholes. Yeah, when we first drove in to get a tour, we noticed the large potholes. It was an inconvenience, however, it did solve the problem of other residents/visitors driving so fast through the lot! At this time, there are no potholes and I think the speed bumps help the speedy drivers slow down. The other issue was in regards to residents not picking up the bowel movements (BM) from their dogs. The apartment complex have many waste pick up stations installed (with trash cans) and people still don’t pick up the BM. Now they have a new system that every dog owner must comply with, and I think it will solve the issue! I love it here and I look forward to the next few years of living here.

My fiancé and I moved here two years ago from Florida. We were not able to come and tour apartments before we moved in, so we did a lot of online walk throughs and talking with representatives over the phone. We talked with many leasing agents over the phone who promised they would help us find the best apartment in our budget, and then they never called back. When I finally stumbled upon The Oaks at Lakeview everything was different. I work directly with Shelly and she was able to find the perfect apartment for my fiancé and I without us being there to look at it. We were able to do all the paperwork over the phone/online since it would still be a month or so until we moved in. Now we were nervous when it came time to move in because we were not sure what the apartment would really look like in person. On move in when we walked into the apartment it did not disappoint. It was spacious and there was a lot of storage. It didn't even feel like we were living in an apartment. Shortly after moving in we got our dog Oakley, and the Oaks welcomed him with open arms and anytime we were walking around the community they would say hi and remember who we were. We have lived in many other apartment complexes who would know their residence from complete strangers, so this was a really nice change. A year passed and it was time to either find a different place to live or resign the lease. We decided to resign because we enjoyed living there and they even offered to upgrade our apartment for staying. Our neighbors were friendly and quiet, and the whole community is secure. If we ever had an issue, maintenance would come out and help. Now it wasn't necessarily always the same day, but the community is big and we understood they were busy people. We are approaching year two and so much has changed. We got engaged and would like a second big dog. We realized that an apartment might not be the best for another big dog, so we decided not to resign out lease. Not because we did not like the Oaks, but we just began to outgrow them. We appreciate all of the help we received while we lived there, and appreciate them as our first home in Omaha. So honestly if you are in a bind and don't know what apartment to choose the Oaks are great. It was a short drive to wherever we needed to go and the area is quiet. The Ralston Arena always has something going on, there is a walking trail nearby. Just remember it is a nicer apartment complex, so yeah it may seem "out of your budget", but the apartments are nice, there may be upgrades, the appliances are nice, and the apartment complex is secure. We didn't mind paying more for all of that. We will miss this community.
