Logan Square has one centrally-located subway station nestled at the northwestern tip of Logan Square Park on N. Milwaukee Ave. It's served by the Chicago Transit Authority's Blue Line and lets riders take the famous elevated trains throughout the city or even to O'Hare Airport. The neighborhood is also served by the 56 and 76 bus lines. Logan Square is only about three square miles in area and is both walking- and biking-friendly, making any shopping or apartment search quite convenient. If you've just gotten off Chicago's famous elevated train, or simply "the L", there are a few shops and restaurants within walking distance as well as other pockets of activity throughout the area. Biking is also a good option to get from point A to B while in Logan Square. There are already bike trails established in the area, and more bike infrastructure is slated to repurpose old elevated train tracks into an extensive bike system weaving throughout the city.

Due to its recent designation as one of the hipper areas in Chicago, Logan Square is great for anyone looking to imbibe a fancy (or not so fancy) cocktail, see a concert, grab lunch at a chic eatery or pop into a record store for that elusive vinyl they've been searching for. For the music lovers and readers in Logan Square, shops such as Bric-A-Brac Records and Collectibles, City Lit Books, Saki and Logan Hardware (a record store that retains the name of the business that used to occupy the space) should have what you're looking for and then some. When you get famished after flipping through crates of vinyl, pop into The Boiler Room or Dante's for some pizza, or perhaps L'Patron to get a taste of some local Latino cuisine. Finally, to unwind with a cold drink, check out The Scofflaw or Billy Sunday for fancy cocktails, or keep it simple with a visit to The Bob Inn or The Owl.

As a result of the rising popularity of the Logan square area, the demographics are ever-shifting. Due in no small part to condos popping up, as well as an abundance of lofts, there are plenty of options for apartments for young professionals. Logan Square is densely populated, with a little over 20,000 people per square mile, which is about twice the density of the entire city of Chicago.
