After visiting many apartments in the Lacey area, I found myself putting Switchback #1 on my list. The Cabela's side of Lacey is booming with a lot of new businesses, but thankfully Switchback's location is quiet and ideal. On one side, you can easily access the freeway (Exit 111) and Hawks Prairie. On the other side, you can easily access Carpenter Rd/Pacific Ave, another freeway entrance (Exit 109), or the Sleater Kinney part of Lacey. Making an appointment to view the complex was easy. Briana, Nicole, and Thiresa are so kind and welcoming! And their newest staff was so nice to even help show the garbage/recycling area. I'm very thankful they've answered my many, many questions! And Maintenance requests are easy and they communicate very quickly with scheduling and job completion. I moved in a few weeks ago into their Baker floorplan (788 sq ft). Apartments are newly built as of 2023. They are spacious with lots of storage space along with beautiful doors, doorframes, and baseboard finishings. The kitchen has soft close cabinetry, a wonderful large Farmhouse kitchen sink, updated appliances, and plenty of kitchen quartz countertop space (ideal for baking/cookie decorating 👩🏻‍🍳). Big walk-in closet and good size bathroom with good countertop space. Tall ceilings, so you don't feel claustrophobic and keyless entry is a plus! There's also a beautiful modern clubhouse, which staff offer Saturday brunch that features a different local bakery each week. The pool, mailroom and gym requires fob entry, so you feel safe. In comparison to other apartment gyms, Switchback has really good equipment options, plus a separate yoga room with more equipment choices. And last but not least, the whole complex is very well lit at night in the common areas, walkways, and carports!

I moved into this apartment complex from out of state a couple of weeks ago. The manager, Briana, has been so responsive and helpful. The apartments themselves are gorgeous and are very clean and modern. I definitely made the right choice picking switchback apartmemts!

Switchback Apartments is an exceptional place to live! These were brand new apartments when we moved in over a year ago and they are absolutely gorgeous, with every detail thoughtfully designed. From the keyless entries on the entry door, the beautiful custom cabinetry, to the quartz countertops, and sleek stainless-steel appliances, everything feels modern and luxurious. The full-size washer and dryer, built-in A/C ports, and private balcony make each unit incredibly comfortable. I know there are cheaper rentals in the area, but these are so beautiful with so many perks! For those who love staying active or need a quiet space to work, the facilities here are perfect. The community features a well-equipped clubhouse with a fitness center, yoga room, and business room, onsite mailroom and secured package delivery, along with an outdoor swimming pool and BBQ area for grilling and picnic tables. The on-site dog park is a fantastic perk for pet owners. The EV charging stations are a great addition for electric vehicle owners. They really have thought of everything! The location is incredibly convenient – near the freeway and close to restaurants. We are just a short drive from Cabela’s, Tolmie State Park, Costco, Walmart, Crumble Cookies, and a whole lot of other shopping and dining options. The staff here are outstanding and very responsive. We have gotten to know two of the employees in particular. Briana is in the office and she is always friendly and helpful. Shane, the maintenance lead, is efficient and quick to resolve any issues, ensuring everything runs seamlessly. Despite being such a large complex, within the city limits, and close to the freeway, the apartments seem to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. We have gotten to know some of our neighbors, and they are friendly, kind, and respectful. At the same time - it is apartment living so you do hear sounds from your neighbors - clunks, bumps, and loud TVs and music from time to time. Most residents are respectful and drive carefully through the parking lot, but there are some people who live in the area that use the parking lot as a shortcut to get through the neighborhood and they drive like maniacs sometimes. Perhaps putting up speedbumps or stop signs in the parking lot would help? Overall, I would say that Switchback Apartments offers a blend of modern luxury, convenience, and excellent customer service to it’s residents. In addition, the amenities at Switchback are well thought out and useful for residents, making this a great place to live.
